  1. Nice job with your SMP. I've had a few of these but Gen, currently wear a black one (photo below). Most people with those specs and cash invested will go nuts to get it as period correct as possible. I admire that your project was all about getting it the way YOU wanted it. Wear her in good health brother.
  2. Disregards my post, I was able to make better use of the search option! My apologies.
  3. Hi people! Any suggestions to where I can source out a Tag Grand Carrera CALIBRE 36 DLC TI? New to Tag, not sure about the pros and cons on this rep. Most if not all my time is spent in the Rolex and Omega sections. This model recently caught my eye and I wouldn't mind trying to get my hands on an accurate rep. Thanks!
  4. This is a great thread, I almost pulled the trigger on one too. Where did you get your quartz model? I think RM use to have one, but I'm not seeing it anymore.
  5. Wicked watch. I have had my eye on one for a while. How much does Puretime charge?
  6. Hey guys, been doing some research for a few days, n1smo's been super helpful with helping me narrow down the BEST option in terms of accuracy to gen and "less" flaws (not flawless). So my two final options are as follows: Intimes: v6.5 Big Bang SS Black Dial Black Rubber http://intime.co/product.php?id_product=957 -correct bezel teeth cause there are none *my intent was to put on an Ebay ceramic bezel with better tooth pattern in black. -correct movement - looks engraved and no blue screws -correct subdial at 6 (both 3 and 4 ticks existed on gen) eBay bezel with nice teeth pattern PT appears to sell bezel only with correct teeth as well? OR Puretimes: Big Bang Ice Bang Full Ceramic Black Dial Black Rubber http://pure-time.com/product/big-ban...strap-hub4104/ -correct bezel teeth -correct movement - looks engraved and no blue screws -correct subdial at 6 (3 ticks) The crystal AR looks too strong on this one, I believe from what I read it should be colourless? So what am I missing? I like the look of the Ice Bang, but if it has enough flaws (which ive missed?) I'll just go with SS. Any help would be appreciated, I'm trying to pull the trigger on something this weekend.
  7. Hey guys, would you keep the stock v6.5 colourless AR crystal or drop in a Mikey crystal? I've got a loose Mikey crystal on the way with my v6.5 HBB, don't know if I should install it or leave as is... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Looks great man! How do you like the polished bezel? PT carries the loose bezel in brushed as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Looks great man. Did you consider the Nubuk croc while you were shopping? I'm torn between the std. Donerix croc or his Nubuk. The Nubuks got a sued texture and its about double the price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I would use GS Hypo Cement. It's a jewelry glue, budget friendly, doesn't leave residue and easy to use. Craft stores carry it. http://www.gshypocement.com Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When you say gen strap - would a gen tire tread strap count? And would it feel much better over a rep gummy? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Great question. Are v6 and v7 parts interchangeable? To my brief knowledge, the case back is the only real issue with the v6. The crystal however (based on what I've seen on PT website) also seems to have a pretty noticeable blue AR... Shouldn't it be colourless? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Here is a photo of the correct tooth count - gen reference. 4.5 not 7... My understanding is the latest HBB's actually come with this corrected now. Prior to they were 7 or something... Here's a photo from Angus's website - correct 4.5 count... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. After weeks of reading between the twp my suggestion is to go with the SS model. The advantage over it is you don't have issues with incorrect bezel teeth and incorrect cf pattern.
